lost both Aunt and Uncle
yesterday my mom calls to tell me that my Aunt and Uncle both passed with in hours of each other. They both were in their 90's and lived a good life. They had been married for over 73 years. I will not be able to attend the funeral because of a surgery I will have on Friday. But I will be with them in spirit.

lifted
Hi all, I found this on You Tube under CardzTV, then I looked a bit closer on Mary's blog and found it under coffee and cards episode #32
Donna over at http://www.scrappinwithjack.blogspot.com/
made this cute card and I just had to make it...so I made 2
I deleted all the cut marks with my design studio, but after taking a closer look at Donna's, she left them on.

3 sympathy cards
good morning to all., a young woman of 50 died this week from my church, I was not close to her but 2 of my good friend were, so these sympathy cards are for them...
I let the paper work for this card, I had a different card layout on my DS, but when I saw this beautiful paper I did not want to cover it up with layers
I love this butterfly and works well for sympathy cards this time of year
Made an extra for my stash,, had enough deaths this year already,

Laura's baby shower card and our 1st snow!
Hi all, this is for my girlfriend who has been through breast cancer, now expecting a baby and after she was pg found out she has liver cancer, her and baby are doing fine with chemo,
the invite had cute little baby feet on the cover so I went with that for this card, I believe this is an old mojo sketch.
this is 1/2 hour into the snow storm that we are in, expecting 3 to 5 inches of heavy wet snow, we have a lot more now!!

breast cancer survivor
Hi all, about a 18 months ago a friend of mine was diagnosed with breast cancer at a young age of 36, I am happy to say she is cancer free and much to my surprise pregnant with her 2nd child. she would tell you herself that God has blessed her in so many ways and kept everyone's spirits up even through the treatments and ups and downs she has had. I made this card for her.
lots of inking, tiny pearls, layering and cuttlebug

mojo monday # 187
what a great sketch over at Mojo Monday this week!!! I had no problem picking out papers, and I even like the ribbon I added to it...looks better in real life,, colors are a bit washed out here.
lots of inking and pop dotted.
I did have a problem with the 9,,,, it looked more like a g (wanted this for my daughters 9th anniversary coming up in June) anyway, I will fix it later.

wedding card for Karol
Hi all, this is for a good friend of mine, for this card I wanted lots of layers and for it to be square, and it had to have a cross. I started by cutting out all of the squares and inking and lots of measuring to make sure things looked right, but it just did not have the right pop to it, so I went to Jeannies blog, looked up under weddings and much to my surprise she had a layered card...find it here...
http://aplaceformycards.blogspot.com/2009/06/third-picture-of-this-post-shows.html
all I had to do to mine was add the swirls which really made a huge difference ( I was so glad to see it matched the cross) and tilt the square under the cross.
I also pop dotted 3 layers and did lots of inking on this card...
the inside
card is 5 1/2" square
mat 5 1/4 square
small squares 2 3/8 white print 2 1/8
med square white 4", mat 3 3/4, swirls 3 1/2"
behind cross white 2 3/4, & 2 1/2"
cross is 2 1/2", 2 layers, shadow and swirls in white glitter paper
2 layers shift base and black out in blue
papers are from K & Co. floral dreams
glitter paper from linen closet card stack stack from DCWV
