cute story with this card

good morning to all,,    a bat flying?  for your vacation theme you might be asking yourself????
we don't get away much on a dairy farm, it is more getting off for a milking here and there.
For our grandson Eli's birthday I do manage to get my husband to take a little time off, My daughter and s-i-l. drive about half way between Coleraine MN and Wausau WI  and go camping  the week of Eli"s bd, and we meet up with them there,,getting to the bat, my husband wanted to use the GPS to get us there, well the darn thing took us the back roads through small towns and 20miles out of the way, good thing I printed out the direction Sarah sent us....and then when we got to a sign saying Chippewa campgrounds this way, he wanted me to go straight (I was driving)   but I turned anyway because I did not want to go another mile out of the way, plus I knew there would be outhouses there.    I was right on both count, they were there with a outhouse close by.
I think a bat with a compass would have gotten us there just as good....
I can laugh at it now but at the time I was not too happy!
 I used campin' critters for the bat,  PAF for the tree tops, and bat is on a wobble

  Since we are in the summer months, I thought that a good theme for our challenge to be a vacation time.

Bitten by the Bug2, Hot air Balloon

Hi all, over at BBTB2 they  have a new challenge....
We'd like to see your creations incorporating a hot air balloon.  Now I know that many of you may not have a Cricut cartridge that has a hot air balloon on it, so if you don't then you can still enter the challenge by opting to use an airplane cut from any cartridge.
I just wonder if it was in Wausau that Jeri went thru with an RV, because we just had a Balloon Glow in town a little while ago,,, it is a big deal around here with lots of food and fireworks also!
I used every day pop up for the balloon,   I used 8 balloon tops (4 of each color) to get the 3-D effect

I am going to need a large envelope for this one, it sticks out from the card 1 1/2 inches, but will fold flat!

The challenge is to use any fashion-themed image from any Cricut cartridge and create any type of new project.

I decided to go with a baby theme and went with this cute little outfit for a girl from New Arrival.

Princess (the Word) Challenge

Welcome everyone to this weeks challenge at Bitten By The Bug 2. I, Mona from Scrapbooking For Joy was asked to pick this weeks challenge so I wanted to create something for my daughter's bedroom to emphasize our recent trip to Disneyland and her latest theme for her birthday party so I decided on the word Princess. You can create the word Princess from any Cricut font, so please join us for this weeks challenge.  remember that you must use a Cricut cartridge to be included in our Project of the Week Challenge.

Julie has chosen any of the flourishes from the Cindy Loo cartridge. I love flourishes they are so versatile and always give such an elegant touch to a project . Don't worry if you don't own Cindy Loo you can use a flourish from any cart and so many have the most beautiful flourishes to choose from, so join us in our challenge this week as we would love to see your fabulous creations!

I made this into a square , lots of inking, popped the frame and lots of tiny pearls.

bitten by the bug 2 , Caterpillars

Carole selected a caterpillar from Walk In My Garden. Spring will be here before we know it, the flowers will be in bloom and I am sure a garden or two will have a few little caterpillars crawling around to nibble on spring's buffet.

Today I might think that spring is right around the corner, but they are saying we are getting winter and with it comes the snow and cold, so that will be it for the pleasant   weather here in WI for a while...
