For my grandson I made this cute card from Robotz. His bd was Sunday and not feeling well at all, we went bowling, he would get up toss the ball and sit down get up for the 2nd ball and sit down.... was not happy with my daughter because it could have waited a week till he was up to his normal fun self....

a surprise Christmas card....

good morning to all,  You might be wondering how one can have a surprise Christmas card?   I thought I was done with them for this year until a week ago....my adopted daughter found she has a  1/2 brother, a surprise to all! lives maybe 10  miles away,goes to a different school and is only a few months older than her.
My oldest daughter (her birth mother) and his mother did know about the other. The 2 have met and are getting along well, we also have met him and there are definite fetchers that they share.  My husband and I are praying that this is a good thing and that Britt has found something she seems to have been missing in her life. Like I have said, it has only been a week and only time will tell.

fancy circle edge

good morning to all,this one is going to my girlfriend for her birthday, I used the circle on page 65 in Art Philosophy,  shift font layer and deleted most of the design in the center and welded a circle from George in the white and placed another circle in the brown on top of that for the background.
this is also for a challenge over at paper playtime #89   anything goes
used a lot of my glitter pen to sparkle things up!

(my daughter talks way too much for any serious hunter to take her along) I came up with this 3 page card for Diane.

Good morning to all, It is snowing in central WI this morning,  had to warn my daughter of the "it is slippery out and people are not used to snow on the ground, so slow down"  I think it went in one ear and out the other....
this is for a friends new baby and I always send something for the other so they do not feel left out,

I have been wanting to make this card since I first saw it 3 years ago on Kelly's blog,  but I did not have my design studio at that point and when I did have it, I just could not get it to weld properly .....until now... I found this on pinterst, pined it and forgot about it, until  a few days ago I was looking through boards and saw an interesting picture that said   my cricut font list, updated monthly...even though I don't have many font cartridges I clicked on it anyway.....and happy I did ...the front page said  cricut lovers guide to design studio..

baby shower for Becky

Hi all, this morning my daughter asked me to make her a baby shower card for tomorrow....a lot of notice there!!!I went with i spy sketches, made it  square and had to make a special envelope for it because it turned out to be a 6 1/8 square card, just a little more work for me, but I got it done!!!!
I love these little feet from new arrival, no inking on this card   I wanted to keep it clean looking,  looks a bit washed out from the lighting..

Hi all,   I did make it to Hobby Lobby Grand opening this morning, and Look what I found for 50% off.    Now I don't have to go thru the drawer and dig for what I am looking for, it is all right here!  large groups of stamps and the small single ones and my wobbles!!!!  I used my 40% off coupon for some white gel pens, I am running low on that...Now there is a Michael's, Joann's and a Hobby Lobby with in sight of the other (that is how close they are) in Wausau!!!  woo hoo!!!

Good morning to all,  much needed rain it falling today! the guys finished the corn yesterday, even my husband said it was early. on to the next step, like emptying the pits,  still a lot to do before the snow flies.

 Wow!  this morning I am posting a card and I found I can use it for a challenge also....
My "cup of Joy" is going to cheer up a friend of my who just had an emergency hysterectomy, she is also waiting on test results   So I am hoping to put a smile on her face.

these are 6x6 and will need a larger envelope.   I will be putting these into a bubble envelope because the edges are a bit more fragile and I pop dotted the  flower and tree,   also the roses are sticking up a bit

shimmer sheetz

Hi all, I saw shimmer sheetz used on you tube and found them on sale at Joanns.com
I bought 3 different colors and tried them out using the

Elizabeth Craft Designs - 5 Minute Card Shimmer Sheetz   

you will find it by putting shimmer sheetz in the search

  I think I will have to give it another try to get the technique right, it will cut with the cricut, but plan on one or two times with heavy pressure and #6 blade depth...it is a bit hard with a punch, but it is to pricy not to get every bit used....inking on the left, sanding on the right

good morning to all, and a chilly start to the day. Last night we had a  strong cold front come through. I thought we were in a tornado, it hit so hard and fast even took the power out for about 2 hours. Thank goodness for the generator, the guys were able to finish milking, I remember when we didn't have a generator.... those poor cows had to wait with a full bag until the power went back on, sometimes hours and then we had to finish no matter how late it was....

I took it in today to best buy and it took the geek squad about 20 minutes and it was up and running again.
my mouse got stuck and would not move for anything, and all of the programs they had to go through,WOW

Good morning to all,    over the weekend I saw a short glimpse of a painting on one of the home improvement channels, it was of owls going in these directions and I thought it would be a cute card, so I tried to study it in the one min. that I saw it and at the end the host said you could download if for free,,,, I totally missed where it could be downloaded but I think I got a good card out of it....I quick put it on my Design studio and made it this morning.... lucky for me  over at BBTB2 they are having a challenge with things flying in nature,
if anyone did see it and catch the place it could be downloaded, I would love to have it and see how close I got to theirs    thanks, Carol<><

Bitten by the Bug 2 Monday.   So we invite you to partake of our winged creatures and then we ask that you play along.  Please remember your focus cut must be a Cricut cut.

I made the owls out of fall colors (Like they were on the painting I was studying) and pop dotted the upper left owl, and a little doodling. Owls are from stamping cut at 2 1/4 inches

next time I would use a stronger paper, I had to reinforce the inside and cover with a card stock , it worked fine because it is not seen from the outside, I might also find a different way to tie down the cover, but for now and this one I am fine with it...also stop on over at ISSC. to see her lovely Christmas card...

hexagon

good morning to all,   I used my Design studio to weld the black background together so that I would have a grid to place all the hexagon pieces,it is a great way to use up scraps...this is also the first time I used the chip board from my Art Philosophy kit, they work nice but they add a lot of weight to this small card.
hexagons are 1 1/8 inch

YOU MUST use a Wobble on your CARD!

so the goof up on my card...there is a huge ink smudge  under the tulip, and I really was not happy about it and even forgot about it until this challenge.....

and I found that I have a hexagon shape in my Accent Essentials cartridge, so I used it for the grass,,, 

I have seen a lot of cards with that shape on them and will try it again soon.
