note cards

Hi all, I was a way for a couple of days watching my grand children while mom and dad were at work,
they were not their normal selves, I could not figure out why they just wanted to lay around and watch TV.
I was able to get them both outside for a short time, but back into the house, by the time my daughter got home Braeden was sitting on the toilet and Aubry was sleeping on the couch, Not feeling well would explain a lot!! I sure hope Britt and I do not get what the kids have!
I had these made last week and I believe they will go to the church plum shoppe.
I also decide to switch them up a bit so I am not getting board while making may of the same cut.
black sq  3 1/8
green sq  3"
black 5 1/4 x 1 5/8

sympathy card for infant

I was at a stand still with this card, not easy to make for a infant of 3 months.  This is going to my son in laws  adopted daughter, she did not live with them long and I really don't know her that well, but my heart goes out to her and her husband. This has been put together and taken apart because I was not happy with it, so I simplified.

Luke's 4 wheeling birthday

Hi all, over at Action Wobble challenge....

Add any type of fiber (burlap, twine, ribbon, etc.), and
any patterned paper to your project.
It also must have an Action Wobble on it of course :O)

Luke's birthday is next month but I already knew I wanted a 4 wheeler with a wobble, so what better time to make it than for a challenge
inking, doodling, hemp cord for the fiber, and what 4 wheeler doesn't have mud on the tires!
(first time and the wheeler was balanced on the wobble)

cute story with this card

good morning to all,,    a bat flying?  for your vacation theme you might be asking yourself????
we don't get away much on a dairy farm, it is more getting off for a milking here and there.
For our grandson Eli's birthday I do manage to get my husband to take a little time off, My daughter and s-i-l. drive about half way between Coleraine MN and Wausau WI  and go camping  the week of Eli"s bd, and we meet up with them there,,getting to the bat, my husband wanted to use the GPS to get us there, well the darn thing took us the back roads through small towns and 20miles out of the way, good thing I printed out the direction Sarah sent us....and then when we got to a sign saying Chippewa campgrounds this way, he wanted me to go straight (I was driving)   but I turned anyway because I did not want to go another mile out of the way, plus I knew there would be outhouses there.    I was right on both count, they were there with a outhouse close by.
I think a bat with a compass would have gotten us there just as good....
I can laugh at it now but at the time I was not too happy!
I used campin' critters for the bat,  PAF for the tree tops, and bat is on a wobble

Over at BBTB 2 Carole has this challenge
Since we are in the summer months, I thought that a good theme for our challenge to be a vacation time.

and over at Paper Playtime...
 Our current challenge is:
For Ch # 82
Theme: Use POLKA DOTS
PLUS add a SENTIMENT

Action Wobble Challenge # 23

Hi all, I love when I can tell a little something about a card I have made and the memory it brings back..
this is for AWC

Wobble Wednesday Challenge #23

Welcome to a new Action Wobble Challenge
and today challenge is create a project, card or layout
that show Christmas... any colors just make
sure it Christmas Themed

this is for my daughter, about 15 years ago she had to have a real Christmas tree instead of the imitation one we always have had, anyway after she was all done decorating it ( we have one picture of her and Britt under the tree, because she was a baby then), before it "Wobbled" and fell over. she put way too many ornaments on one side!
I will have to write a note and ask her if she remembers.

I'm not fast enough with the camera to get the wobble in action

unicorn with rainbow

Hi all, as long as I was trying something new with backgrounds I thought I would give a rainbow a try.
Many, many years ago, when I worked at a bakery as a cake decorator, I would spay rainbows onto a cake and add a little plastic unicorn on top,  it was a good sell for little girls.     I must say it is pretty close...
even though this looks all right, I think paper would would work just as well and not make a big inky mess, there is a oops under the unicorn, good thing she covers it up!!!

Adam's tractor

good morning to all,
I first saw this background over at Kreative Korner By Kelly
http://kreativekornerbykelly.blogspot.com/2012/08/something-other-than-christmas.html
and she directed me over to Gina K of Stamp TV
http://stamptv.ning.com/video/sunshine-background

where Gina has a video on how to make this background,  she has the sunshine and I added the field.
when I first saw the video, all I could see is a great sunset on the fresh plowed rows of a field..
(the farmer in me) I also rounded the center to make it look like a sun. Next time I will try more colors of a sunset.

this is for my nephew who will be turning 25 on Sunday, and yes his tractor is yellow!
perfect timing for this card!!!
I was going to make a large tractor, but it would take away from this background
Thanks to Kelly and Gina for the idea!!!

male BD

Hi all, this one is for my nieces husband, I find it hard to make a card for men, but this one turned out pretty good and I am happy with it....
pop dotted and tore paper to look like a shore line.

balancing act....

Hi all... this elephant is on an action wobble and I had a time figuring where the wobble would best fit, but like the little elephant on the ball, I got it!!!   I did put a small piece of paper in the opening between the ball and the elephant, because the wobble was showing and I did not like that... anyway this is for a girl at church...
this is also for the BBTB 2 challenge this week....
the challenge is to use an elephant from any cartridge and any theme you choose.
I used B is for boy , for the elephant and George for the stars

Bitten by the Bug2, Hot air Balloon

Hi all, over at BBTB2 they  have a new challenge....
We'd like to see your creations incorporating a hot air balloon.  Now I know that many of you may not have a Cricut cartridge that has a hot air balloon on it, so if you don't then you can still enter the challenge by opting to use an airplane cut from any cartridge.
I just wonder if it was in Wausau that Jeri went thru with an RV, because we just had a Balloon Glow in town a little while ago,,, it is a big deal around here with lots of food and fireworks also!
I used every day pop up for the balloon,   I used 8 balloon tops (4 of each color) to get the 3-D effect
I am going to need a large envelope for this one, it sticks out from the card 1 1/2 inches, but will fold flat!

I made Eeyore, He is my favorite in the hundred acre wood.
only made one this time, but this one was before I added a little sparkle to the flowers...It makes a huge difference!
Hi all, Yesterday I made these cards to small for the challenge. On my design studio I had planned on the card base to be 4 1/2 x 6 1/4    when I made the cards they where to small    4 1/4 x 5 1/2,,, so it thru off the entire card, set them aside and finished them with a different guitar

Mojo Monday # 253

Hi all, yesterday in Church I found out that  a lovely lady, who always has a warm greeting for anyone, any time, had surgery on some brain tumors  (not the first time) is recovering in the hospital and Pastor had talked to her the night before and her spirits are good.
I thought what ever the MJM sketch would be, I would make a get well card for her, I love the way the bow looks like a butterfly....
I have plenty of birthdays coming up.....

wobble wobble

Hi all, I thought it would be fun to add a wobble to this owl, I am going to give it to a girl a t church, who I am sure is expecting one this year since I gave her one last.  She was so excited and I am told she still has it...
and made 3 more without wobbles for my note card stash

note cards

Hi all, I had these butterflies around for at least a month and the cards waiting to be finished for longer than that, I figured I better put them together before I lost or bent something ....

Stampin Sisters in Christ Challenge # 150

Hi all,  I found this challenge over at SSIC,
CHALLENGE:
use torn paper technique
(just tear paper with your fingers and use it somehow on your card,
but it must be torn, not cut)

Behold these lovely torn creations to inspire you this week!

as I read the scripture I was thinking more of the birth of Christ instead of his death
that is the white snow and the shining star in the distance.
