Hi all, it is so great to see the sun shining so brightly today!!! that I made a springy card!
Found this sketch over at the sweet stop and they wanted it to be a birthday card, since it made two halves I decided to make 2, I also have a lot of birthdays coming up and will come in handy.

Dad is turning 84

Hi all,  thought I would make a fun card for my dad this year. I know  he would get a kick out of this cute bear.  When we went camping years and years ago, dad would take us to the dump at dusk and we would watch the bears along with other on lookers. Sometimes we would see as many as 6or 7 eating what  they could find.

Donna is turning 50

Hi all, another icky day. It is raining now but is suppose to turn to snow late tonight into Friday.
for this card I went to an old stack of paper called garden party, so bright and cheery. If you look close you can see the #50 in the branch...I like to do that on special birthdays ...to let them know I know their number!

80th bd card

Hi all,  this is for my M-I-L, she will be turning 80 on Saturday,   was not sure what to make so I went with this potted plant once again. same flowers different papers...

grab and cut #2

good morning to all,  well we did not get the 4 to 8 inches of snow yesterday like the weather man was talking about, but it was a nasty slippery day. It is snowing like crazy once again and the snow might have been delayed a day.
for this card I did ask my daughter to pick a cartridge and she choose Country Life... the girl on the tractor and the tractor must be red! I am also using only scraps for these cards and glad to be doing it that way.

Winter, just won't let go this year

Good morning to all, and the weather man says this is just the first wave, we are expecting 4 to 8 inches more of the white stuff...I bought this pretty paper  Old World Winter from Hobby Lobby the other day.
I had not seen this pack before, so I bought it! The Paper Studio has great designs!
for these I used MJM sketch, I will finish the inside when I know the sentiment I want for the upcoming Christmas Season.
I tilted the sketch and let the paper for the sentiment.

grab and cut

Good morning to all, Well this morning I woke up to 2 inches of heavy wet snow on the ground...I am so ready for spring!!
You might be thinking "grab and cut"????
I decided to shake things up a bit and without looking I  grabbed a cartridge and I must make a cut from it.... well I grabbed Life is a Beach and thought now what? so I went with the bamboo, the first cut, and thought... I did not say the entire card had to be from that cartridge, so I added this cute panda bear from create a critter, I also had to use from my scrap pile  and there's a lot there...next time I think I will let my daughter pick out a cartridge.

                                  Not bad, if I may say so myself!

return of the Robins...

Hi all, I found a new challenge over at Pumpkin Spice
Today's Challenge: 
Spring Animals or Insects (Use your Imagination)who can resist sweet spring animals and insects.. even bees and caterpillars are cute, right?!

I believe it ends tomorrow, but I just thought it was a cute challenge,,, Every Spring around here is a look out for the first robin of the season, So far they have been smart and stayed a bit south of here. Not sure they would find anything yet with the ground still covered with snow, soon I am hoping they will show up.  This will be for a birthday this month.

good morning, although it is April 4th, there is still plenty of snow on the ground.. Over at Whimsical Designs
the challenge is "shaped cards".  I have not done a potted plant in awhile and thought now would be a good time to make one,   this is for a friends bd for next week.

Jacob's cake top

on the cake,,,, this makes it super simple for me, I made and frosted the cake a week ahead  piped the borders and froze it. I have decorated cakes for years and can no longer decorate a whole cake with frosting. this way the cake top can be put in a scrap book!
Made the cake top to look like his card,   added the and the top hours before serving.
Note: you cannot put the paper directly on the cake, the grease from the frosting will destroy it. there are 3 votive cups under to lift it off the cake.

                                Baptism, Easter Sunday 3-31-13

MoJo Monday # 287

good morning to all, I am back from a wonderful weekend at my daughters... We went to meet our grandson for the first time and for his baptism on Easter Sunday.....Saturday was a lovely 50 degrees,with the sun shining brightly, Easter Sunday was windy with snow and bone chilly day. It had cleared enough for a nice ride home....
I have 2 nieces that are both due in October, so I made 2 baby cards one boy and one girl, this way I have at least one right! I used MJM for the sketch.
