Hi all, I have a difficult time with color challenges and this one was definitely tops the list, not only a color challenge there is a sketch challenge and use something recycled.
also with this challenge I wanted to make a light contrasting shadow instead of the normal dark,
I also was getting frustrated looking for 3 buttons to match, you would think with all the buttons I remove from old shirts I would be able to fine a set.....not to be found....then I saw these tiny specks mixed in with the buttons and I found an eye for the bird.
the yellow bead for the eye is recycled
plum, blue (berry), crumb beige, cherry red (optional)
you will find the sketch and color challenge here...
http://craftycreationschallenges.blogspot.com/
I used Home decor for the bird, wild card for the Hi and George for the circle and a MS punch along with my design studio.

good morning, My daughter loves cats and I have wanted to make this cat from Country Life for some time now. I also liked Mojo # 171 design
the paper is DCWV the natural stack.........sorry picture looks so washed out, much better in person, the paper have a mirror shine to it.

Kyle's 7th birthday
It is hard for me to believe Kyle will be turning 7 on the 23rd, He is our first grandson and a surprise at that,
up until his birth we thought he was a girl, I guess you cannot always trust an ultra sound! and now we have 3 grandsons....Kyle loves toy story, but I don't have that cart. so I used Robotz and tried to make it look like the dinosaur in the movie..
HB is from create a critter, used black diamond stickles to give it a little sparkle.

more Christmas card
I sure hope that I am done now... when I went through my cards I could not figure out why I was so short on stock with them.... then I remember I gave several to my daughter for a thank you for my stay while I was in CO. so I used my design studio for another large group of cards, (I think I would be lost without my DS, I love it!!!) anyway, they are all mailed now and I think I am done... but I could be wrong!
I must have closed my ds before saving it, so I don't have the sizes...sorry

Eli's 1st Thanksgiving
Hi all, this card got to be a large 1/2 card size card, after seeing Kelly's turkey shaped cards I thought I would give it a try, well my turkey was a little bigger than what I wanted and I decided to make it pop up for a 3D look and the card took on a look of its own from there.
I used the turkey from animal kingdom @ 5 1/2inches with lots of added layers
happy thanksgiving from Holiday cakes @ 1 7/8
could not make it without my design studio
sentiment... comp. made from one of my programs
shimmer spritz to one layer, doodled, EX punch
colorful paper from s.i.e. nutmeg
the inside
I add a tag to the back of all of my cards

Jamie's BD card
I have been admiring all of the flowers that Joy over at
http://joy-purttypaperz.blogspot.com/
has been making
but I don't have the Paisley cart..... with all the carts I have I figured I must have something close...
found this in Don Juan the daisy on page 74... I used the shift Marquee and deleted the box around the daisy with my design studio, I'm not sure on the sizes, must have deleted it..but they where close to Joy's
I used a snow flake background because she has a Nov. BD, and there is normally snow on the ground.
I believe this looks close enough, I get the same effect without buying another cart.
