good morning to all, Aubrey's birthday party was postponed because of the snow storm we got here in Wisconsin, and so glad it was! we would have had an hour and half drive there and 2 1/2 hour drive back... it came that fast and heavy. When I called early afternoon to see if it had started snow in Appleton yet, and it had, but both of the kids were throwing up. Not fun for anyone!
this card is for another nephew getting married this year, I had time for this shower card, but wanted it done!
Ashley had post a sample of flowers on face book so I copied it, They had painted mason jars silver and added the deep pink tulips with twine around it also...very pretty if I might add....I will be adding
A bridal shower from lyrical letters when I get it back from my sister...
tulip tops are from cindy loo, stems from walk in my garden, cream on tulips are rain drops from a childs year, I wanted to add a little dimension to the flowers and I think it did the trick! pop dotted the jar and
ends of 2 flowers

cake top
good morning to all, we now have about 3 inches of snow on the ground, looks fresh and clean out there.
It is fluffy so if the winds pick up there will be a lot of drifting.
Yesterday my daughter called up and asked if I would make Aubreys' cake for Sunday and that she would like a puppy on it. Of course I said I would and she would have to settle for the flavor of cake I had on hand
(did not want to run to town any more) so yellow it is!!! (I had chocolate also, so I was safe)
I could have just had the puppy on the cake, but the circle adds more strength to the topper and a bit more interesting to look at, this way I just have to add a border and Happy bd Aubrey. I also have pop dots behind some of the doggy bones and double foam tape behind the puppy.
I add 2 thicknesses of foam tape to the bottom of votive cups (get them at Michael's), this step is to keep the paper out of the frosting and getting greasy .
not sure if you can see, but I also added a round piece of craft plastic to the back side so that when I remove the votive cups it will not tear at the paper and Aubrey can keep it

it will stand this much off the cake...

extra large card for Aubrey
good morning to all, boy.... is it cold out this morning -2 when I woke up and we might get up to 6 for a high.
I had fun making this card for Aubrey, she will be 6 on Wed. even though we will be seeing them next Sunday, I want her to get it on her birthday, it being a extra large card 19 1/2 x 6 and with all the layers,
it is a heavy card and will need more postage, but she is worth it!
cannot have fun in the snow without her big brother
and what is snow without snow people!
I also have extra snow flakes so when she opens it up they will come floating out....

Happy bd Kris
Good morning to all,,, Hope you had a wonderful Christmas and a great start of the New Year!!
Not so around here...My husband thru out his back on Monday, bad timing because he had to wait til Wed. for the chiropractor's office to open. He had one treatment and will have to go 3 times a week for at least 3 weeks.. a lot to ask of a stubborn farmer, but better now than during planting season...
for this card I found a challenge and hop at terrific Tuesday challenge....
