Britt's Sale at Church

Because of school being canceled last week because of the winter blizzard. We had to hold off a week
to sell cards.  We sold 9 which I think is really good for being so close to Christmas.
And I also gave one to a good friend of mine, so 10 are gone.

Here are a few pictures.....I know some Jeannie cards sold, everyone loved the cardinal's and a Valentine card which I also think is a Jeannie card...
Here is Brittany smiling so pretty for me
she is 14 and about 5 inches taller than me, she likes looking down to me!

and the table of cards, sorry about the glare

and our advertisement, I was in a hurry so I comp printed it!

Thanks for looking, and if you see your card, thank you for the wonderful card for me to copy
I am hoping that I can have another sale come spring, Britt has a good start toward her trip.

this will be my last post until after Christmas, My daughter and son-in-law are coming home  this Sunday for Christmas and I have some cleaning up to do around here. I am getting so excited, they have not been home for Christmas in 8 years. And we have a cookie baking day  set aside.

So, HAVE A VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A WONDERFUL AND SAFE NEW YEAR.

the cuttle bug spot and cricut cardz challenge #5

  for the Cuttlebug Spot....

 For You: Christmas Gifts

Christmas is right around the corner. Have you been busy shopping? Wrapping already?  Well if you are wanting some inspiration on how to give that special gift...look no more. Our Designers have been busy altering and creating some wonderful project that I'm sure you will enjoy. Wether you are giving an album of memorable pictures, or a box of goodies, don't forget to add that special touch with an embossed look.

Cricut Cutz Challenge #5
Speaking of Christmas, this week's challenge is to make a Christmas card using one or more of the following things that start with the letter "S" ...Santa, Stocking, Sleigh, Snowman or Snowflake. Use the cartridge(s) or colors of your choice.
even though this is not a card, it holds 8 to 10 card!

I have been making these holders for years now, with computer  generated cards.  Now that I am making cards I  can decorate the holder also.
start with a 5 cent folder (when they are on sale before school starts)
for this I used WW - sleigh @ 2 3/4" shadow and base
horse @ 2 3/4" shadow and base
tree @ 3 3/4 "
snow flakes @ 1"
greetings at 1 1/2"base and shadow
Gifts from celebrations. #4 present  @ 3/4",    #1 @ 1", & #3 at 1 1/4"
I don't remember the names of the cuttlebug folders, there are 3 (click on picture to enlarge
for detail)

inside of the holder

you can see that each side can hold about 4 or 5 with the envelopes
1/4 size cards, I used velcro pieces to hold it shut!

BBTB... Phone from My Kitchen

 Bitten by the BUG

This week we have a fun fun fun cut for ya.......THE PHONE from the FROM MY KITCHEN cartridge....this is one of the cutest cuts ever...although I must say that everything on this cartridge is adorable...but I especially love this OLD STYLE PHONE...if you happen to have this cartridge, don't forget to play along.

When I saw this challenge I had to use an old phone book for the background,   NOT EASY! if you mess up
Like I did, the paper is so flimsy that if it does not go down right the first time, it is done for.  What I did was
cut out my phone book paper and taped it to a larger card stock then trimmed the card stock away.
I found that it worked that way...here it is, hope you like it!
the little"table" is also from MK  it is a tab (forgot which one) cut at 11/4 real dial size,
put part of a doily on it and I have a phone table!

Verve November Release Thankful Hearts Blog Hop-gift card challenge

(Challenge #5) which we are calling the Gift Card Challenge!

During the holiday season, we often want to thank so many people around us for all of their service and hard work all year long (like the mailman, the hair stylist, etc.) and its nice to have some gift card holders on hand! So our challenge to you is to create a gift card holder of your own. You can create a gift card holder for birthdays, as a thank you, for anniversaries, for the holidays
I used a double sided paper and it made it super easy!

I did not put a sentiment on it  yet because of so many different things going on this time of year.
birthdays, Christmas,

Verve November Release Thankful Hearts Blog Hop-mini pizza box

The MINI PIZZA BOX is a lot of fun to put together and there are so many ways to embellish it! It’s the perfect size to hand to someone for a little “thank you” gift. Filled with peppermints, chocolate, gift cards or a wrapped up large cookie inside it makes for an inexpensive way to let someone know you are “thanking” of them. It’s also SUPER EASY to make and they come together really quick. The finished size is 4x4x1 inches.

crafty creations challenge #42

crafty creations challenge #42
our new challenge isMetal/Metallic finnishes

ideal for all the Christmas card piles we are trying to create!

since all the kids loved this card at Diane's party I decided to make 6 more. This way when Britt comes
and says I need a card for this weekend and it already is this weekend (she does that to me) I'll be ready.
I did make an opps on these, the guitar is only 2 1/2" and in the original it was 3 1/2
since I made that mistake and was not going to toss them.
I made the flame looking things at 2"

I love the metallic shine to this paper from DCWV Rock Star stack

and another

cuttlebug spot challenge gobble, gobble and Paper Cutz Challente #18 and Cricut Cardz cahllenge

cuttlebug spot challenge gobble, gobble
I used another clip art for this card, I am having so much fun with my clip art,
clip art from Hallmark studio 2009,  MM scallop at 4 and 3 1/2, cuttlebug folders 2 different ones.
you might think the back ground be a bit odd, but it reminds me of wall paper when we move to Wausau
when I was a young girl. It did not stay up long because my parents did not like wall paper, there where more rooms that had wall paper, and it did not last for long!
and  for the Paper Cutz Challenge #18
With Thanksgiving just a week away, we decided that challenge # 18 would be to make a card, LO or craft project with a Thanksgiving theme. Use any colors you'd like and post your name and a link to your creation in Mr Linky by midnight, Thursday, November 26th. The winner of challenge # 18 will have their name entered in the December 4th Grand Prize drawing. So, don't be a turkey...join us for our Thanksgiving challenge, lol!

and for the Cricut Cardz Challenge #2
We definitely have an attitude of gratitude, so for challenge # 2, make a card with a Thanksgiving theme using any cartridge(s) or colors you'd like.

With love cuttlebug inside
