http://cardztv.blogspot.com/2011/07/sandras-butterfly-birthday-blog-hop.html
yesterday I got the phone call no one wants to get... Your father has been taken to the ER in an ambulance.
It was my parents neighbor and I had know idea what she was saying to me that I had to hand the phone over to my husband, I was starting to hyperventilate and could not breath,,,when I settled down I was able to phone my siblings, my younger sister cut her vacation short and came home right away and the other 2 waited for news on how he was doing before they dropped everything and came. turns out he has an infection in his leg making him weak and unable to walk. Dad has never been in the hospital as a patient his married life and they have been married almost 61 years! Dad is doing much better now that he is on an antibiotic Mom on the other hand is exhausted, So If anyone could say a little prayer for them, It would be greatly appreciated.
Now for this card, I am making Tammy the neighbor a package of cards for a little thank you from me for being there so quickly and help my mother out....
thanks Mary, I love this butterfly too!! I used celebrations #5 in blackout for the scalloped edges cut @ 3 inches
I need to make a few more cards since I just sent about 30 home with my daughter last weekend....

Butterfly
Hi all, I started to make this for my granddaughter Aubrey but thought different when I saw it more for an adult,
I am really happy the way it turned out with the off set of the butterfly, and to tell the truth, the flower took the most time to put together...hope you all like...
this will fit into a 5 1/2 square envelope
Next post will be of Aubrey's butterfly....

My craft spot challenge # 20 and Birthday Sundaes
This card was made yesterday and saved on my DS for a nephews birthday come up next week, I had so much fun with my brothers anniversary card, the flower in a pot from everyday pop-ups that I decide to go with the hot air balloon for this one,,, Gaylen is a world traveler and fly all over for his job, so I thought he just might like a slower means of flying....so all I had to do is find some nice bright colors, ..
when we see the balloons they are normally over the tree tops.... I used pooh and friends for the clouds and the tree tops.
This weeks Challenge: It's HOT out there!
(use hot, bright colors on your project)
over at My craft spot..
for the black background I welded the shadow from the balloon to a 5 1/2 square from George.
for the blue I welded the base to a 5 1/4 square from George,
finish size of card is 5 1/2 x 7 1/8

cake top
My daughter asked me to make a cake for her in-laws 39th surprise wedding anniversary, you might be thing 39???? yup I said it right, her m-i-l has been hinting around that their 40th is coming soon, so the kids decide since she was talking 40 that she would really not be expecting it on their 39th,
will post picture of cake later....
Well John and Jody where totally surprised!!! what fun to see the look on their faces
the cake was a huge success and the rain did not come until after the party!
