birthday card
good morning once again, I was able to go and see Kelly's card now that my comp. is up and running now, and wow, was I way off. so I sat down and looked thru more cartridges and came up with this....
see Kelly's at
http://kreativekornerbykelly.blogspot.com/2014/02/a-couple-of-birthday-and-few-valentines.html
mine turned out square and her looks like a 5.5 x 4.25 Will try that size next to see if I can get it down in size. next time I will have to remember to finish the inside before I put the flowers on, they got in the way being bulky.

anniversary for in-laws
good morning to all, I saw this shaped card over at
http://kreativekornerbykelly.blogspot.com/2014/02/a-couple-of-birthday-and-few-valentines.html
I had not seen it for awhile and had to wing it because my comp. was down yesterday.
The idea was right but Kelly's is more elegant than mine will ever be.

started as a anniversary card
Once again, the heat wave kept me from finishing a card and I wanted to see what it would look like with this rose, I used 2 shades of red and inked the edges with white.. and curled up the edges.
I think there are 6 layers of red and 2 of the green

Lorraine's Anniversary card "56"
Hi all, today I was helping out a new person to the cricut world, not that I am an expert or anything like that, but I am the only person Lorraine knows who own one...so I was glad to help, I have called her mom in bible study so I'm sure that is one reason she felt comfortable to ask for help. So we made a card for her daughter, a good friend, for her birthday coming up. and I didn't get a picture of it....dang.... but I did get to make this one for Lorraine's ann. comeing up... I found this layout on Paper in the works blog. I really love her work and don't get anywhere near the detailing but I try.... she will also sew, cut by hand and does a lot of coloring and inking, not sure if she makes her own layouts, but they are great! here are the measurement on mine
brown layer, 5 1/4 x 5 1/4 .....patterned paper, 5 1/8 x 5 1/8
tall 1st layer brown, 2 1/2 x 4 1/4 patterned paper.....2/3/8 x 4 1/8
center layer brown 3 1/4 x 4 1/2 patterned 3 1/8 x 4 3/8
long strip brown 1 1/8 x 5 1/4 patterned 1 x 5 1/8
very center brown 2 5/8 square patterned 2 1/2 square
the rose is from cricut 50 states @ 2 1/8" in blackout base and shift flower
I also used a corner punch, ink, MS pearls and a fisker punch on the inside for fun!

Card for Cathy
Cathy was in a car accident and were asked to send cards from card makers
Wishing you well Cathy...
this card is from Cricut Songbirds, I was not happy to see all of the flowers had letters in them, why they did not leave some in blackout is beyond my understanding, but I figured a way around it....layer, if you like the flower and not the letters inside do what I did
from songbird flower and flower top shift W @ 3 1/2 inches...this is one more thing I cannot figure out, the flower ended up to be 5 3/4 inches, way bigger than I thought it would be. so glad I did not make the card first.
then I layered the flower tops at 3, 2 3/4, 2 1/2, 2 1/4, 2 inches
for the very center I cut shift 8 at 1 3/4 inches and added stickles to the center.
also have MS butterfly punch paper is from The Paper Studio Serendipity

for those of you who are new to my blog, this is how I do the inside of my cards for my family,
for years I have remodeled my sisters stamped cards so that they can be reused instead of trashed.
(My parents are not keepers of anything) so I have decided to do this for every family member
they like getting a hand made card and also be able to send to a friend.
thanks for looking!
